Wyoming Wildfires

Wyoming has more than 460,000 people living in areas with elevated vulnerability to wildfires. The state could be doing more to prepare for its growing future wildfires risks.

Is Wyoming Taking Action?

  • Like many states, Wyoming has a hazard mitigation plan that covers wildfire and takes part in the national Firewise program, which helps communities prepare for wildfire risks
