Idaho's wildfire threat is projected to quadruple by 2050 but the state has a relatively small population living in areas of elevated risk to wildfire. The state has taken only limited action to understand, plan for, or implement strategies to prepare for its future risks.

  • Idaho's Energy Assurance Plan addresses future wildfire risks and impacts on the energy sector
  • The state has taken no action to develop a climate change adaptation plan or implement strategies to improve the state's resilience against future wildfires
