Climate Central named two-time winner in 2023 Anthem Awards
Climate Central named 2023 Anthem Awards winner for Climate Shift Index and Picturing Our Future
Princeton, NJ—February 15, 2023—Two Climate Central initiatives, the Climate Shift Index® and Picturing Our Future, were announced today as winners in the 2023 Anthem Awards program, which recognizes the best purpose- and mission-driven work worldwide.
The Climate Shift Index won a silver award for innovation within the Anthem Awards' Sustainability, Environment & Climate category. Launched in 2022, the index applies attribution science methodologies to reveal the influence of climate change on local weather in real time. Launched for the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, Picturing Our Future visualizes long-term sea level projections for iconic locations in coastal cities around the world.
